Video Purifier released
Innobits Video Purifier is now launched

Innobits Video Purifier removes contaminations in films/videos, for example dithering artifacts, unwanted video noise and unpleasent signatures from filtering processing.

It is a Mac first product, but a Windows/PC version is in development and planned to be released during 2008.

Anyone that uses film or/and video will benefit from using Purifier even if there is no clear evidence of noise in the movie, because the noise will be boosted during further processing.

Innobits Video Purifier removes these contaminations/noise, for example dithering artifacts, unwanted video/film noise and unpleasant signatures from earlier processing. Only noise that shouldn't be in the movie is removed, which means that animated noise is not touched.

Also, Innobits Video Purifier does not "smear out" the noise or put any "new" pixels into the video - it simply uses already existing pixels.

Innobits Video Purifier is the standalone NLE software for you to use as an additional tool of the trade.

The powerful algorithm used in Innobits Video Purifier is "heavy-duty" signal processing even if it is light weighted in respect to CPU time. The limitation in hardware, is the memory bandwidth, not the number of CPU's / cores or other hardware installed. In this NLE software there is a totally new thinking in the Graphical User Interface, making it really easy to learn and use the product. The user will have careful control of what is to be processed; execution is fast and - very important - the range of application is broad, meaning that Video Purifier can be used in and for different situations, e.g.:
  • Removing contaminations before editing/cutting your video
  • Removing contaminations after editing/cutting
  • Restoration of motion pictures
  • In pre/post processing prior the final cut
  • In post-processing equalizing content from different sources and cameras
  • In post-processing restoring video quality for archiving purposes
  • In pre-processing prior to any encoding. Encoding is sensitive to noise/contaminations.
Innobits Video Purifier can process all frame rates and sizes (SD, HD etc). Also, it can scale the source in any format for further processing, using a very advanced 3D FIR technique, which creates marvelous up/down scaling for any need.

OEM and Application Programmers Interface (API)
A programmers API for the algorithm is available for OEM purposes. It could be implemented as a fully adaptive "socket" into any type of application or hardware that uses a video signal. Plug-ins and/or ASIC implementations are available. Please contact Innobits for further information about the OEM alternatives available.

Innobits at IBC
Innibits with Video Purifier at IBC was a success
Innobits won design award price at IBC 2008
"The IBC exhibition 2008 was a BIG success for Innobits and for the Video Purifier. The award helped us even more to create a broad awareness for our brand and products." - Kent Olsson / CEO INNOBITS AB

From IBC Press release:
"Winner of the shell scheme stand was Swedish company Innobits. The imaginative use of their small space created a snowy landscape. It supported their product, which aims to filter video defects to create a picture that is as pure as the driven snow."
