Who we are Innobits is a young company founded 2001 in Sweden, but the ideas took form back in 1996 when the Innobits R&D team was engaged in MPEG matters for a different company in the broadcast industry.
Loaded with a lot of experience from the digital Audio and Video field, including several patented methods in this area, we decided to launch our old ideas and bring our knowledge to good use in a new company. That is how and why Innobits was put into shape.
Encouraged by the sub-optimal quality performance of some currently available MPEG2 Encoders, we just had to tap our own insights and abilities to produce an alternative for people who need to be rather particular about how they spend their precious bits. Our first in a series of bit-conserving and quality-enhancing tools is the BitVice MPEG2 Encoder.

We believe that Innobits is capable of making a lasting impression in the area of audio and video processing techniques, to the benefit of multimedia creators, consumers and distributors. That is why we initially are going to focus on audio and video encoding software of spectacular quality.
